Who was the first black player to play for the New York Mets?
I can only find the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants, but not the Mets.
The 1962 NY Mets had many black & latino players on their roster.
Among them were: Charlie Neal, Al Jackson, Joe Christopher, Choo Choo Coleman, Felix Mantilla and Elio Chacon.

The mets are doing gtreat this season and look at their record. It's great! I am a braves fan but i am cheering for the ets because i like them too. PLease tell me if you think they're going to make it to the World Series.
I am hopeful, but the past week says no.
They really cannot win when necessary and I like the mets
