Has anyone here come across a good/legit sports betting system?

Please, please, please only people who have had experience or know someone personally who uses a system that works. This seems to be a popular one "Champ system" by John Morrison.
I don't currently bet on any sports. I would like to start. I have also come across what look like promising betting guide websites.

I usually bet 1 or 2 games per week with the spread or sometimes I will bet the over/under. A parlay is so hard to get so I usually stay away from those.

Does anyone have a gambling system that work? If so will you share it with us?

Last Saturday I bet on a horse at 50 to 1 odds - the odds later fell to 20 to 1 so I accepted a bet at 20 to 1 and it won. Both bets were at £2 each. I won £100 back on the first bet and paid out £40 on the second bet - profit £60. Does that give you a clue. You have to do it on line - fast Internet connection - knowledge of racing - and have 2 sites connected. But you don't win every day!

Is there a way to beat Vegas at Gambling?

I just watched a movie called 21 where a guy could count cards and he won so much money. I understand it was a movie but in reality can you count cards in blackjack and actually beat the house in Vegas? I do remember watching this documentary about Edmond Windthorpe who discovered this but then Vegas changed it's rules and it deals through a shufleboard now. I am wondering if there is a way to beat the system and actually win big without getting caught of course. Any thoughts on how to win?

But as soon as someone comes up with a better mouse, the casino comes up with a better mouse trap. Most Black Jack is dealt from a six deck shoe. Single deck games pay a paltry 6.5 for Black Jack so no matter what, the house has the edge.

Think about it. If there was a way to beat the house there would be no Las Vegas.

If you make $50 a week then it's a problem. If you make $10K per week then it's definitely not a problem. You should check out using a different system since you are consistently losing. I personally subscribe to the single game bets strategy. Only bet on one pick, don't try to hit only parlays, you will lose. Right. If you're buying a "system", then the only people that are going to make money are the bookies and the person who sold you the system. Winning at sports betting IS possible, but only to a very small percentage of hard-working, disciplined people.

This small percentage of winning players work very hard each week to come up with a small handful of high-percentage plays. They often know things that other folks don't know. They don't ever put all their eggs in one basket, because they know there is NO such thing as a "lock". If you do insist on looking for help, beware of anyone that uses the word "lock". They are lying to you.

My question to you - do you REALLY think you are one of the small percentage of people that knows things and that could work for hours each week analyzing games and players and situations to come up with just a few picks each week?

When gambling sports what does +185 mean? How do you explain the point system in gambling like that?

+185 refers to the moneyline - if you take away the pointspread you bet on either team or person if its an individual sport/event that they win straight up

-250 or any minus number is how much you bet on the favorite to win 100.00 dollars

+185 is betting the underdog and how much you WIN for betting 100.00 dollars

all moneylines refer to based on risking 100.00 so if you see favorite at -1100 they are a BIG favorite and you must risk 1100.00 just to win 100 bucks so its a bad bet - if you see underdog at +900 its what you win for risking just 100.00 so its a real longshot underdog

It can be explained in layman's terms in one word: LOSER. I've read the system and understand it FULLY. It's nothing more than just another betting progression, which can always be proven wrong mathematically.

I Do handicap sports, Im jsut curious what other people have used to win with Sports. I will share my systems with you.

I handicap American football for both NFL and college games. I do pretty well and have never had a losing season!

What is the difference between investing in stocks and gambling?

some people say there's a way to predict the stock market but really the stock market is unpredictable.....how is it any different than gambling? you can analyze the sports players and teams all you want but you can still lose.....those informecials that show there's a system to predict it is BS...if there was such a system why would they sell their "system"?

Blackjack Card Counting help?

So I recently saw the movie 21 (I know it came out about a year ago) and I became interested in counting cards. I started practicing with the Knock-Out Card Counting system and it seems fairly easy. But I have a few questions. When do you start counting the cards? When you first get on the table or do you kick back as a spectator and count from there a few hands? and at what point on the running count do you place a higher bet? +3? +4? +5? Any advice would be helpful.
I have a job broski. Just wanted to pick this up as a hobby. Not looking for a million dollar profit just something I can have fun with.

Frstly, keep in mind that the movie 21 is highly fictionalized and dramatized and is based on some events that occurred years ago. The casinos have since made many rule changes to thwart the practice.

Card counting in blackjack is not cheating nor is it illegal,. But the casinos do not like it when you are counting and winning, and may ask you to leave if you are suspected of doing it. Be sure to practice a lot and be abel to do it with just a glance around the table, and do not get greedy, lol.

You can use whatever progressive bettign method you want, in the end, none of them will work.

There are 5 methods of beating blackjack that DO work though (card coutnign is not the only one)

1. Card counting
---There are many card countign systems that vary in compexity, the most efficient systems are multi paramiter systems that i really dont see people employing using only their minds as they are VERY complex particularly in the strategy deviation departmet of the system.
2. Shuffle tracking
---Shuffle trackers follow cards throuhg the shuffle and figure the advantage to the player based on the known cards and the number of unknown cards in the sector of cards they were visually following.
3. Ace prediction
----Similer to shuffle tracking, only the player only follows aces, or clusters of aces and calulates the player advantage accordingly.
4. Card sequencing
----Due to the inefficency of hand shuffles, and even the inner working of continuous shuffle machines, the order that cards were dealt during one shoe, will remain during the next shoe after the shuffle, though there will be an unknown number of unknown cards dealt between the cards the were noted in the previous shoe. The player will most likely use this knowledge to predict the presence of an ace in the cards pending to be dealt, but it can also effectively be used to predicct the presence of any card, and modify playing strategy accordingly.
5. Hole carding
-----Holecarding is gaining knowledge of the dealers holecard in the middle of the hands to guid playing strategy, there are legal ways to do this, and illegal ways, but it can yeild huge returns for the player.

In addition to those methods, you can use various scams, that arnt really illegal, but come VERY CLOSE to it, and will certainly get you the boot.

Holecarding is the MOST effective, if you can do it during every hand, but usually its a once every ten hands or so event that you get to view the dealer holecard however it is you manage to do it.

Card sequencing for the purpose of predicting when an ace is gogin to be dealt can be lucrative, when it works out in such a manor that you know you are about to be dealt an ace, however an obsticle occurs as more players sit at the table, you may find yourself knowing the the player next to you is about to be deal that ace you worked so hard to locate, and your efforts are in vein.

Most professionals use a combination of card counting and shuffle tracking which yeilds a player edge of about 2-3%, this is the best and the most practical approach, this is what i do, in addition i attempt to predict aces simultaniously, but it is of little gain because it very rarely generates an oportunity to bet.
