If you were to put together the 'dream' baseball team out of current players, who would play what position?
I'm going for 1 or 2 players per position (5 or 6 pitchers) and I mean who is the best if a team had no salary cap and could hand pick their players from any team.

If 5% or more of the league tested positive then MLB would start randomly testing. If it were up to the comishioner he would release the list. he doenst care that much. its the players association that is trying to keep us all from knowing who used to take steriods. 2004 forward there has been random testing in the MLB therefore it is near impossible for any current players to be on the juice. Lastly, the names of the people on this list include players from many teams. It clearly isnt just yankees players. In fact Arod was a Texas Rangers player who was illegally named as being on this list. David Ortiz a Red Sox player is another. There is no reason the yankees would want to keep this list a secret as it would have more of an impact on teams like the Red Sox who likely had more steriod users. No one is paying anyone to keep this list a secret. It is mandated by the supreme court and a felony offense for anyone who releases information from this list.

So I plan on going to a Texas Rangers v.s New York Yankees game and I was wondering what seats/tickets were affordable and a good view?

I make a road trip to see the Rangers play every summer. My advice to you would be to go to this website and click on where you would like to be. It shows you a view from that section and it gives you the price of that seat. It all depends on what is affordable for you, personally I like being on the lower deck where you can see everything real well. What inning would a rained out MLB game be called "official"?

For instance, if a game gets rained out in the 3rd inning, it obviously would be re-scheduled. But what about if it gets rained out in the 7th inning? Would they score it an actual final if someone is winning? Or how does it work? Thanks

in order for a game to be considered an official game, you must be in at least the bottom of the fifth. any game after the fifth could be considered an official game.

Many places all you have to do is apply online to a specific website like the one below. They have you come "try out" basically score a taped game. You have to know a lot of stuff, so i wish you well. I would love to do this; i score games of f the t.v. all the time. Any case you apply and show up at the field about an hour before game time. I wanted to do this, but i love the Indians and they are too far for me to drive to every home game from Columbus.

How do I pick a favorite Mlb Baseball team?

I've been recently wanting to get into Major League Baseball, and I don't have a favorite team. I don't know how to go about selecting a favorite team at all. My state doesn't have a MLB team and I don't know too much about individual players and teams.
I should add that I live in Portland, Oregon.

The Mariners would be the closest to you geographically, and a lot of people will tell you to watch a team that is winning. I'm going a different direction.
Josh T talked about a minor league team. In Portland, you have a AAA minor league team called the Portland Beavers that play in the Pacific Coast League. AAA is the highest minor league classification, and a good number of the players that go through that league will end up playing in the majors. The Beavers are the AAA affiliate of the San Diego Padres. I think you should become a fan of the Beavers, and follow those players into their MLB careers. (I'd be willing to bet a good number of current Padres played in Portland)
