We just created a website to help sports betting. There is a forum for people to talk about their bets and reviews of any sort of online gambling. Anything from poker to sportsbooks. We are also having a drawing where any post is an entrie, but you must be a registerd member of the board, and it doesnt cost anything. All you have to do is post messages. Here is my question, has anyone had problems with any online poker or sportsbooks? Ive seen people say that their account was closed and they took their money, but no specific names.

I know bet on sports.com closed, but I don't know if there are other sportsbooks.

Can the IRS find out about my online sports gambling?

Can the IRS find out about my winnings if i bet on sports online. I cashed in a 100 dollar ticket the other day. Can they find out my winnings??

They are not going to find $100. Or even $1000. If you are making serious money and you are spending more than you make, that will cause a red flag and the IRS will audit you to find out where this money is coming from. You would have to be doing this full time with no job to probably get caught by the IRS.

The stock market is better.

1) If a stock starts losing market value, you can sell it and save some of your capital. You can't get out of a bet once it starts going bad.

2) If a stock goes up,you can sell it in about 3 seconds. You can't cash in a bet half way through the game.

3) You can write covered calls on under performing stocks to recoup losses. You can write covered calls as an extra income source.

4) Some stocks pay dividends. No wager pays you just for making a wager.

5) Not as easy to manipulate stock market. Athletes can shave points at anytime.

Is it possible to get rich off betting on football games in England and around Europe?

It seems like a plausible idea but i've lost a substantial amount of money on betting. When i first discovered online betting about a year ago I thought this is it, I'm gonna be rich! But now it seems like its all designed for you to keep losing your money because thats all i've done! If you gamble on sports, you WILL lose! The bookie is always the one to win the money. He's the ONLY one that wins in the long run.

There are a VERY, VERY small percentage of people that can make a profit in the long run. These folks spend hours and hours studying teams and players all week long. When it comes down to it, they only make a small number of bets each week on what they determine to be high-percentage picks. Even then they still lose a lot of games. There's no such thing as a "sure thing". They also often have "inside information" with which they use to determine a better bet.

Do you really think you fit into that extremely small percentage of people that knows things that nobody else knows?!?!?

What are the rules for making a football betting grid?

With enough people, you have a 10 x 10 grid. After the grid is filled draw random numbers of 0-9 for side and top and then draw the team names. You could do the names first. Cost per square can vary dependent upon the buyers. Payouts can vary from each quarter, each half or final score only. The amounts paid for the quarter or half variation can be equal pay or weighted, just make sure the total payour equals the amount taken in.

Smaller numbers of people can do a 10 square drawing, you only put in random numbers 0-9. At the end of the game add up the scores of both teams and the last digit determines the winner.

I usually bet 1 or 2 games per week with the spread or sometimes I will bet the over/under. A parlay is so hard to get so I usually stay away from those.

Because you're not picking the winner & loser, like you do for NFL Pick'Em. You're also betting on a line if you didn't notice, and those numbers represent how much the underdog is favored to lose by. If your bet isn't covered by the spread... then you STILL LOSE.
