I Do handicap sports, Im jsut curious what other people have used to win with Sports. I will share my systems with you.

I handicap American football for both NFL and college games. I do pretty well and have never had a losing season!

I publish the Outlaw Line for NFL football, NFL weekly picks for all teams ATS (against the spread) and SU (straight up), and after week 5, I offer over/under picks. For NCAA football I offer ATS and SU picks for every game.

All picks are rated by the highest probability of winning, and are weighted by several factors.

What is the difference between investing in stocks and gambling?

some people say there's a way to predict the stock market but really the stock market is unpredictable.....how is it any different than gambling? you can analyze the sports players and teams all you want but you can still lose.....those informecials that show there's a system to predict it is BS...if there was such a system why would they sell their "system"?

not much just that in gambling you either lose or win instantly while investing in stocks you can keep them if you are loosing money and wait til it goes up in price.

Whats the best gambling system you know?

I want to know a good gambling system/stratergy, preferably for sports betting but roulette/casino games is good too.

Because the lotto game is a controllable and penetrable system before you make any investment, it is the best gambling system, although I do not agree with gambling category for lotto.
Lotto is an open system for everyone that is willing to learn it and profit from.

There is not more refined terrorist attack against the U.S.

No one who wants to socialize medicine has an idea of how to pay for it (since raising taxes makes you a monster). The future I see is paying into SSI my whole life then getting a check for $15.23 a month (OK, let's call it $41.26 but that's after 40 years of inflation) to live on for the rest of my life. But on the bright side, I can go to the doctor for free, as long as I got on the waiting list before I got sick. Hooray!

Can anyone explain the betting system of poker?

we are trying to have a friendly game of poker ( amoung friends) using plastic chips. But no one knows the proper rules of betting. Thanks very much.

It depends on the limit. There are several variations:

1. Fixed Limit: Probably the simplest. The amount of betting is fixed and the amount is up to you. Usually it's slightly higher in the later rounds. Generally, you want to make the earlier rounds about 2% of the person's average amount of chips, and the later rounds 4%. So if everyone's playing for $10, a good fixed limit amount is 20/40 cents. When playing fixed limit, there's usually a "cap", or maximum number of bets you can make (usually 3-4) per round. You can play any variation of poker with this limit, but it can get kind of monotonous after awhile.

2. Spread limit: Usually used in stud games. You're allowed to bet within a certain range every round (usually between about 1%-5% of the average amount of money; so in the previous example where everyone has $10, a good spread limit would be 10-50 cents). Again, there's usually a "cap."

3. Pot Limit: Pot limit is often used in games where there's fewer rounds of betting, like 5 card draw or Omaha or Hold Em. In Pot Limit, you're allowed to bet up to the amount in the pot at any time. So, if there's 50 cents in the pot, you can bet up to 50 cents. If someone raises 30 cents and the pot becomes 80 cents, then the next person can raise up to 80 cents when it's his turn. With Pot Limit, there's no cap.

4. No Limit. Similar to Pot Limit (no cap, can bet any time, etc), except anybody can bet any amount (up to what they have in front of them) at any time. By far the most creative form, but also potentially the craziest. If spread or fixed limit are getting boring, I recommend starting with pot.

Some extras:

Check-raising: Legal in casinos and official games, but often not allowed in home games. A check-raise is when a player checks and then raises when another player bets to him. It's a strategical move, and is often not allowed in home games.

All-in: An all-in is when a player puts the remainder of his money/chips in the pot. This situation is a little more complicated, since not all players have the same amount of chips/money at the same time. If one player has fewer chips than the remainder of the players in the hand and puts them into the pot, he is only allowed to win up to whatever he puts in. For instance, let's say we have

Player A ($8)

Player B ($12)

Player C ($20)

If all players were to go all in, Player A could only win up to $24 (His $8, plus $8 from Players B & C). If Player B were to go all in, he could win Player A's $8, and $12 from Player C at most (for a total of $32). Player C could win all of Player A and Player B's money, since he has them "covered" (has more chips/money than they do).

If all players go all in, there are now 2 pots: a main pot and a side pot. The main pot consists of the money that could go to ANY player: that would be $24 (Player A's $8, plus $8 from the other two players). Player A has no money left, but Player B has $4 left and Player C has $12 left. If those two continue to bet, they are now playing for a "side" pot. Since Player A has no money in the side pot, he can't win it, but player B or player C could. So if Player B were to go all in with his remaining $4 and player C were to call him (he can't raise, since there's no more money), the side pot would be $8.

What Is The Best Pro sports betting system?

As far as gambling systems go, there's millions of them out there. Since I focus on sports betting, those are the ones I know most....and believe me, they're a dime a dozen.

When it comes to sports betting systems though, there's a few that seem like they're marketed everywhere. However, when you go to their website, they all follow the same "get rich quick" theme. Trust me when I say this, there is no such thing as "get rich quick" (except maybe for the lottery). This goes for any gambling system no matter how intriguing they make it sound.

I've reviewed and recommend a few systems that I think can be an arrow in your sports betting quiver...but trust me, none of them are going to make you rich over night. As someone stated earlier, the biggest key to gambling is having a sound money management system in place. I'm going to say it again just because it's that important...before placing one bet, have a strict money management strategy in place and never stray from it.

I truly believe their are quality sports betting systems out there you can implement into your sports betting philosophy, but they certainly aren't the end all be all as they would claim. Nothing is going to make you rich over night and that's certainly true for sports gambling systems. Betting on sports, just as starting your own business or investing in your 401k, is a long term investment. Best of luck in all of your sports betting endeavors.

Is the Martingale betting system banned in vegas casinos? Specific to roulette tables.?

Yeah, so I went againt everything you guys just told me and tried it on a casino online and lost $800. Last time I don't listen to you!

Not specifically, but the Casinos do have regulations in place that severely limit the effectiveness of the Martingale system (not that it's all that smart to begin with). Most roulette tables have a minimum and a maximum bet that you are allowed to make, as well as a maximum payout. These three things make the Martingale system nearly impossible to profit from. It only takes a few losses before you run into the table maximum, which blows the central principle of the Martingale system out of the water.

Whether or not there is a max payout depends on the casino I guess, because I have seen some with a max payout as a way to control inside betting. If someone hits a straight up and a split bet (and yes, I've seen people do this) then you can win a lot of money on a single spin, so some roulette tables have a max payout per spin.

Has anyone ever heard of the paragon factor? It's a gambling system. If so does it work and should I buy it?

From your question I gather you are interested in becoming a gambler. Yet you are not willing to gamble on the book. I suggest to you that you do not have the heart to be a succesful gambler for this is but a small risk . The obvious answer is no you should not buy the book.

Right. If you're buying a "system", then the only people that are going to make money are the bookies and the person who sold you the system. Winning at sports betting IS possible, but only to a very small percentage of hard-working, disciplined people.

This small percentage of winning players work very hard each week to come up with a small handful of high-percentage plays. They often know things that other folks don't know. They don't ever put all their eggs in one basket, because they know there is NO such thing as a "lock". If you do insist on looking for help, beware of anyone that uses the word "lock". They are lying to you.

My question to you - do you REALLY think you are one of the small percentage of people that knows things and that could work for hours each week analyzing games and players and situations to come up with just a few picks each week?

Almost certainly not. If you were, you wouldn't be looking for a "system".

After reading about I would say yes but I think you will have to play perfect basic and I couldn't find out if they shuffle after every hand.

Is there anybody who has got a system when betting on horses?

And sticks to it every time, even when you are on a bad run of losers.
Personally ,I don't think there is.
If you do stick with it, why is it so good ?

If your system won't work don't swear at the dealer. Systems just don't work at all. It may at first but in the long run it'll give out. Look up chaos theory and the gamblers ruin for more evidence. Thats how casinos stay in business, the hope of winning more always draws you back to bet more. The only way to win is to walk out on the first wave of winning.
