What is the best alex rodriguez rookie baseball card to invest in in psa 10. What is the lowest pop in psa 10?

I am trying to teach my boys how to manage investments and this is what they are interested in now. manage the eb and flow of supply and demand etc.

It's really hard to say ... it depends on your idea of "best". Best investment? Rarest? Most popular?

Currently, there is VERY rare PSA 10 94 Upper Deck Collector's Choice Gold Signature ARod on Ebay. There are only 4 graded as gem mint (9.5) by BGS, which is a better grader than PSA. It is a parallel card, so it isn't as popular as some others. Same goes for like Score or Sportflic's "Artist Proof" cards. They are rare, but not as popular as base cards/inserts.

The best as far as value/popularity/scarcity overall would probably be the 1994 Score Call Up insert. In a high grade, it's pretty expensive and it sells very well graded or not! There is an ungraded on Ebay currently over $100 with high graded ones can fetch over $1000.

The SP rookie is probably the most popular, but isn't at all the best value! There are A BUNCH of high graded examples of this card, which hurts its value.

Autographed baseball?

I have a Barry Bonds autographed baseball. I won this in a huge contest and I obviously know that this is real, but I don't have authentication for it. I am hoping to sell it on eBay, but a lot of customers on eBay buy autographed memorabilia with authentication. Is it possible for me do get it authenticated by PSA/DNA or Jsa, and if I can, how can i do this?

go to a card show and someone there can help you out.

I have a autographed American League baseball and autographed upper deck card signed from Harmon Killebrew. Where can I find the value of these two items. I met him while I was in Ohio, he's a really nice man.

The best way to determine the value of cards is by using Beckett Baseball Monthly. I collected cards for many years, and this is the collectors bible. I dont know the web address, but the magazine is extremely popular and can be found in most supermarkets(NOTin the checkout line) or at any card collecting store

i searched for every website for a nolan ryan picture card that is 4x3, and it is autographed. I searched every website, and still have not found anything on the value. if anybody knows the value of the card please let me know. By the way, the picture card is black and white. Thank you.

Hiya guys, quick gambling question. Can I get a shoe dealt game of blackjack in the U.K.?

I enjoy blackjack very much as it is simple and gives the house a relatively small edge compared to most games but the one thing I truly hate is the mechanical card shuffler sat at the table. On a recent trip to Vegas it was great to see the casino use a shoe as it gave the table a nicer feel and I didn't have to look at a depressing grey box on my table, also it reduces the calls from disgruntled punters that the box has somehow rigged the cards (hard to believe but people still claim this is true). And before you all rush to assume I just want to count cards you should all know that basic strategy and a sound betting pattern will work wonders with the auto shufflers, my reason for finding a shoe game is purely aesthetic. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You should be able to find a game in almost every casino in the UK, we're not as paranoid as the the casinos in the US about card counters.

Is it true that Babe Ruth hit an infield home run?

There is a legend that Babe Ruth hit a ball so high in the infield that he was able to round the bases completely and it came down so hard that no one was able to catch it. Is this true?

No. It's a nice fantasy and one that seems appropriate, but, no. It never actually happened. He might could have done it, but it would have been caught or would have been counted as a 4-base error.

How would Albert Pujols have done if he played in Babe Ruth's era?

Would he have been good? Would he have been bad? Would he have been better than Babe Ruth?
I think he would've done well because pitching was less complicated in Babe Ruth's era.

He probably would have hit .400 a couple times.

Pitchers back then didn't throw as hard and since the sport was segregated the talent was not as high as it is today.

What is the best way to get the most $$ out of an old baseball card collection?

A little over 10 years ago my grandpa gave me a box of baseball cards with an assortment of cards from many different players. Some players within the box that I recognize are: Barry Bonds, Greg Maddux, and Nolan Ryan. A few years ago I borrowed a copy of the Beckett guide to look up the values of the cards. Some were as high as $8/each!! What I want to now is how can I sell my collection and get the most money for it?

Would someone who collects baseball card please provide me with some suggestions on what I can do?

Thank you

I agree that a dealer would be a good person to go to but another great place would be Ebay. There are tons of baseball fanatics out there and many will pay a lot for one card just in order to complete their collection.

How much is this old baseball card worth?

In are family we have two Honus Wager baseball cards on the front of the card are the two pictures on the bottom is has either there first or last name and where they are from on the back it says Sweet Caporal Cigarettes under that it says the standard for dears then it says baseball series 350 subjects it shows where it was made. I wrote that so i can show people that its real. So i was wondering if someone can tell me how much its worth?

"In are family we have two Honus Wager baseball cards on the front of the card are the two pictures on the bottom is has either there first or last name and where they are from on the back it says Sweet Caporal Cigarettes under that it says the standard for dears then it says baseball series 350 subjects it shows where it was made."

WOW! That's a very long sentence! By the way it's OUR (not are family), WAGNER (not Wager), THEIR (not there first) and YEARS (not for dears).

It it's a T206 tobacco card then it could be worth millions, but only if it's an original. On the T206 it says Wagner-Pittsburgh on the front so if it has his first name then it's not a T206. Without knowing the year and manufacturer as well as the authenticity of the cards there's really no way to tell you what it's worth. Scans and a history of the card would help.

How much would you pay for a package containing Sidney Crosby, Ryan Getzlaf, Cristobal Huet, Dion Phaneuf, Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek, Jeff Carter, MIke Richards, Mikko Koivu and Johan Franzen. All rookie cards all mint condition.

The problem is that there are so many different brands of cards now. Instead of one Gordie Howe rookie (1951 Parkhurst) or two Wayne Gretzky rookies (1979 Topps and O-Pee-Chee, which are the same card but in US/Canadian versions), you've got a dozen or so cards of the same player spread out amongst three or more companies and a dozen or so sets. Plus you've got 'limited edition' parallel versions and subsets and whatnot. It all gets very confusing.

You have to know which card is the ONE rookie for each player to get, and that can change over time. I specialize strictly in vintage hockey now, haven't done the research, and can't tell you which is the best Crosby to buy.

But out of those players, I'd stick with Crosby and maybe Phaneuf and Vanek.

As big a Sabres fan as I am and as much as I like Ryan Miller, he's never going to be a Patrick Roy, who is the only rookie card amongst goalies that's really valuable since Ken Dryden's 1971 Topps/OPC. The best goalie to come along since Roy, Marty Brodeur, was the first great goalie to have cards in the 'modern, multiple-producer, over-produced' era, and his best card, 1990 Score (Canadian version) is worth less than $10 unless it's professionally slabbed, which is going to add $10 to $15 to your cost with no guarantee of a top grade.

Your best chance at scoring a great, valuable (someday) rookie card is searching through the complete listing of every player in every set made each year, looking for those who somehow fell through the cracks and escaped notice of all but one company, thusly, they have only one (maybe two) rookie cards. Then hope that the guy turns into a superstar someday. Otherwise, things are too watered down today.

How much is a Mickey Mantle Baseball card worth?

In 1991 a stranger gave me a Mickey Mantle card at the old Yankee stadium for free. Is a long story, so I can't get into details here. The card has a orange background with Mickey's young face. Where can I go to see how much is worth? or does anyone know off hand?
I believe the card is from the 50s. Thank you for all your help!

In average condition, any of Mickey's regular cards (1951 to 1969) from when he was a player are worth minimum $50.00.

I suspect the card you have is a card that was made well after Mantle had retired as a player. Without knowing the manufacturer and exact year I can't tell you for sure but I would guess around a buck.

Provided more detail and description and I'll be able to give you a better answer.

Edit: Sounds like it might be a 1958 card. If it's original (but I doubt a stranger would give you an original card) then it would be worth anywhere from $100 to $1000 depending on condition. http://i.ebayimg.com/14/!BTbYIRQ!mk~$(KGrHgoH-DgEjlLl0b,6BKI,3ZT!C!~~_1.JPG
